Key metrics include: User acquisition, Page Views & Unique Page Views, and Demographic details. These key metrics are beneficial to keep track of to support your endeavor of attracting and keeping people around. User acquisition helps know where users are coming from. Page views and unique page views show how many users have seen and the number of times a page was viewed per session. Then demographic details show us the details of who, where, and how long each user is interacting with our page.

The use of “First user source /medium” as a metric is to help us understand where users are coming from and what pages they land on. The use of metrics like “average engagement time, new users, and engaged session per active user” is to help divide data between how long people are on each page, who is new to each page, and who is engaging with our website while actively using it.

  • User Acquisition – “The Main Page is the dominant entry point for your users, receiving 24 new users, which is the overwhelming majority of traffic. The other pages (About Me, Blog7, Blog-Posts, and Contact) each have very low new user numbers (1-2 new users). This suggests that either the content on these pages isn’t attracting organic search traffic, or they’re not being promoted effectively.”

The use of “Page title and screens” is to identify which blog posts are the most popular or seen. The following metrics are Average engagement time, views, Users. The average engagement time shows the average amount of time spent on the blogs. Then views and users show how many views each blog got and how many users entered the page.

I prompted AI with “Out of 9 blog posts these are the only 2 to have any data, how would you analyze the following data?” and copied and pasted my data. Chatgpt detected that my page has had very low engagement and is struggling to obtain viewers.

User attribute – Demographic details

The use of “Country and City” is to get a clear understanding of the areas users are being attracted to. Using the following metrics helps to gain a better understanding of our audience, Active users, Engagement rate, Average engagement time per active user, and Engaged session per active user.

Conclusion

After looking at all of my data I can conclude that I have had very low engagement with all pages of my website. To increase my engagement level, I should attempt to cater my blog posts toward more engaging topics. I may also conclude that there are flaws within my website and that I could use better title phrasing to capture the audience.
